Primiero concerto da Get Lucky Promo Tour 2009.

Infelizmente não foram incluidas nessa gravação as músicas:

- Behind With The Rent
- Secondary Waltz
- Marbletown

Isso porque essas músicas foram tocadas no pre-concert(VIP reception), ou seja, as três primeiras músicas não foram tocadas para todos presentes no concerto, apenas para VIP reception!

Mark Knopfler and band (Guy Fletcher, Danny Cummings, Dudley Phillips, Luke Brighty and John McCusker) performed a charity show in London on behalf of the Prince's Trust at The Hurlingham Club on 9th September 2009. For this show, various expensive tickets of were available:

VIP Tickets - These tickets included admission to a pre-concert champagne reception, followed by an exclusive personal performance by Mark on a separate stage prior to the main event. After that, you join the other guests and enjoy the main concert from the best seats.(350.00 GBP )

(Seated) - These tickets included admission to the champagne reception, followed by a seat in the main hall for the concert. (200.00 GBP)

The pre-show performance by Mark Knopfler for VIP ticket holders included three acoustic songs: Behind with the rent, Secondary waltz and Marbletown. Only Behind with the rent of the pre-show performance can be found on this recording, followed by the complete main event. In between the songs, Mark is interviewed on stage. Good sound quality.

Haja dinheiro...

Pra quem não queria muita “mordomia”, depois dos 60, Mark parece estar muito chique, além da conta...

Lançou o Get Lucky, um álbum maravilhoso, no entanto é seu álbum mais curto, com 11 música, (obviamente isso não desmerece em nada esse excelente álbum) ao mesmo tempo lança um Box Deluxe com dois dvd, um cd com três músicas que caberiam perfeitamente no próprio cd Get Lucky,(Pulling Down The Ride,Home Boy e Good As Gold) sem falar nas outras duas(Early Bird e Time In The Sun) que estão a venda no amazon.com no formato MP3.

Estive percebendo que para muitos fãs da Europa, a maneira que foi lançado o novo álbum► Get Lucky, não foi algo satisfatório, foi mais um erro, pois como fãs somos obrigado a comprar o Box Deluxe para poder apreciar tudo na íntegra, além ter que comprar paralelamente as faixas Early Bird e Time In The Sun.

Isso se tornou uma paródia quando lançou duas versões diferentes do STP em 2000, agora a história vai seguindo com o Get Lucky.

Na verdade, esse tipo de atitude já não é algo incomum, isso começou em 1984 com o lançamento do Alchemy, que carece de quatro músicas do show real, depois com o On The Night, outro show mutilado, carece de pelo menos quatro canções importantes trabalhadas na turnê (Telegraph Road,Tunnel of Love,Sultans Of Swing,Planet Of New Orleans), em seguida o lançamento do dvd A Night in London, com duas canções a menos que a versão em VHS, (SOS e MFN).

Seguindo essa "ritualística", só falta o lançamento do Alchemy Blu-Ray previsto para abril de 2010, vir na seguinte forma:

Imaginem só:

1-DVD básico vem com metade do concerto.

2-A versão Deluxe terá o show inteiro menos Sultans Of Swing (que estará disponível exclusivamente no iTunes apenas).

(Once Upon A Time In The West, embora em ambos os DVDs, terá a guitarra solo silenciada. Esta faixa MP3 pode ser comprado da Amazon (lançado em algumas semanas mais tarde do que os DVDs) - mas apenas com pre-order direto do site oficial de MK, obtendo um código especial.)

3- Finalmente uma super-duplo Deluxe box-set estará disponível a um preço razoável, contém o DVD básico, um guitar tab de Saturday Night At The Movies e 3 unhas MK.

A tiragem limitada destas Boxsets dependerá da rapidez com que as unhas de MK voltarem a crescer)=D

Brincadeiras a parte, espero que melhorem a forma que vem lançando material oficial do MK solo ou DS, mantendo um equilíbrio essencial, diferente daquele velho dito popular► "Quando não é oito, é oitenta" embora tratando-se de Alchemy, que venha completíssimo, na íntegra e com extras! ^^

Como sempre... o primeiro show da Turnê nos dar uma base de como será o set no decorrer da turnê, pelo menos sabemos quais músicas podem ser tocadas. No entanto, não significa que quando ele sair na estrada em 2010, essas sejam as músicas apresentadas, certamente ele deve ainda fazer algumas modificações!


Temos algumas mudanças interessantes a princípio! A entrada de► Behind with the Rent e If This Is Goodbye

O resgate foi► Why Worry e Money for Nothing. Até ai, nada de extraordinário, a primiera foi todaca em 2006 na ALL THE ROADRUNNING TOU 2006, a segunda desde 85 presente nos shows de MK com o DS ou em sua carreira solo até a Shangri-la Tour 2005.

As novas►Get Lucky, (que já era previsto) e Monteleone (que tem uma sequencia "igual" a Heart full of holes.

Para além disso, o set segue semelhante a turnê passada, apenas com a estrutura modificada e ausencia de algumas canções essenciais como What It Is e Hill Farmer Blues, ambas presentes na turnê passada.


Obviamente: aguardemos para conferir esse show, seja em vídeo ou em áudio, para analise e apreciaão das versões e aguardemos pela Tour em 2010.

Acredito que esse show foi apenas um presságio do virá a ser a Tour de 2010!

KTGC tour 2008- O resgate da Ragpicker's tour

Bom... hoje irei abordar um assunto que poucos fãs tenham se dado conta.(Segundo tenho percebido)

É basicamente referente à turnê de 2003 que nunca aconteceu, devido ao acidente de moto que MK sofreu, a turnê foi cancelada e com isso ficou uma "lacuna" que não foi preenchida.

Antes da última turnê (2008) perguntaram a MK sobre a turnê de 2003 que nunca aconteceu, ele disse que queria muito ter tocado Hill Farmer Blues, disse que seria divertidíssimo e respondeu que "quem sabe um dia" e no fim aconteceu! oO

Recentemente, em outra conversa com meu amigo Ricardo, estávamos conversando sobre esse assunto e em nossa visão, Mark estava buscando resgatar a turnê que nunca ocorreu do Ragpicker's.

Ele iniciou isso mais profundamente na KILL TO GET CRIMSON TOUR 2008.

Observem que na tour de 2008 só foram tocadas apenas duas músicas do álbum>> True love will never fade e The fish and the bird... Enquanto isso, ele simplesmente tocou>> Why aye man, Hill farmer's blues, Marbletown, Daddy's gone to Knoxville, até mesmo Devil baby e chegaram a ensaiar Coyote, apesar de não ter entrado para o set... Cinco canções do Ragpicker's e duas apenas do KILL TO GET CRIMSON... Isso é um grande vestígio de que ele estava buscando resgatar a turnê que nunca ocorreu do ragpicker's.

Baseando-se nesses fatos, concluo que essa turnê de 2008 foi definitivamente um resgate da tour do Ragpicker's.

Mudando um pouco de assunto... ---► ◄---

Das músicas que ele tocou do Ragpicker's Dreams na última turnê, acredito que ele deva continuar tocando Hill farmer's blues, talvez venha acrescentar a música Coyote.

Eles chegaram a ensaiar The Man's too strong e segundo o Guy ela não entrou por pouco na KTGC Tour 2008, além de Setting me up.

Esses dias eu estava ouvindo o álbum Sailing to Philadelphia e quando estava ouvindo Speedway at Nazareth, prestei atenção em alguns detalhes que me fizeram pensar na possíbilidade de MK substituir ela por The Man's too strong... Não sei se The Man's too strong vai entrar no set da próxima tour, mas se entrar é possível que entre no lugar de Speedway at Nazareth, ambas tem uma atmosfera meio épica, apesar de Mark ter decidido colocar Hill Farmer's blues no lugar de The Man's... o que não foi uma má escolha.

Bom mesmo seria se tivesse as duas no set, ai sim ficaria too stroooong! =)

Vale lembrar que a música On every street foi até ensaiada para a tour de 2003.

Recentemente um fã perguntou no forum do Guy>> "Hi Doc, If you were in a position to choose one DS song to play live, that's not been played on tour since 1992 (or further back) which one would it be and why?" e a resposta foi: "on every street I suppose." Quem sabe ela não seja uma das surpresas dessa próxima tour em 2010, o Guy gosta de dar algumas pistas sobre o que vai ser tocado.

Para uma mudança no set é nessessario sacrificar algumas canções para entrar outras.

Aposentar>> Why aye man, Marbletown, Daddy's gone to Knoxville, Speedway at Nazareth, So far away, Donegan's gone, Song for Sonny Liston, Done with Bonaparte, Our Shangri-La, Rüdiger...

Isso possíbilitaria a entrada de 10 novas canções, espaço para regatar canções a muito tempo não tocadas e espaço para canções de seu novo álbum. (Espero que ele não toque apenas duas do novo álbum, como ocorreu na Tour de 2008)

Enfim, espero várias mudanças no set, certamente será uma turnê marcante! ^^

KTGC tour 2008 - The rescue of Ragpicker's tour

Well... Today I will address a subject that few fans have been aware. (As I have noticed)

It's basically on the 2003 tour that never happened due to a motorcycle accident that MK suffered, the tour was canceled and it was a "gap" that has not been met.

Before the last tour (2008) MK asked about the 2003 tour that never happened, he said he wanted to have touched Hill Farmer Blues, said it would be great fun and said that "maybe one day and happened at the end! oO

Recently, in another conversation with my friend Ricardo, we were talking about this issue and in our view, Mark was seeking to catch the tour that never occurred to Ragpicker's.

He started it more deeply into KILL TO GET CRIMSON TOUR 2008.

Based on these facts, I conclude that this tour of 2008 was definitely a rescue of the tour Ragpicker's.

Mark em pura nostálgia

Estava conversando no msn com meu amigo Ricardo, (grande fã, assim como eu) falando sobre a turnê de 2010 e eu estava dizendo que o set da tour seria meu foco principal. No entanto, esse foi o ponto de partida para o seguinte detalhe:

O resgate de certas canções!

Observem que Mark sempre explora com muita beleza as suas raizes musicais, folk e blues, country, além de suas composições originais, mas o Get Lucky está todo personalizado contendo ingredientes britânicos e lirismo observacional, tudo isso visto pelo prisma da infância dele, eu acho isso fantásticooooooooo... Isso me remete a algo do contexto do primeiro álbum do DS... coisas como Down To The Waterline e Southbound Again.

Me dei conta que na turnê passada ele regatou músicas que falam de momentos do passado, como Cannibals, Daddy's Don't Gone to Knoxville e foi exatamente no período da turnê de 2008 que ele compôs a maior parte do Get Lucky, por isso eu acho que ele vai resgatar algo muito interessante.

Até mesmo nas fotos promocionais há uma linda nostálgia, eu achei sensacional essas fotos dele observando uma strato vermelha pela vitrine, algo que ele sempre menciona em entrevistas =)






Li uma entrevista dele recente que tem uma frase dele que eu acho brilhane e concordo plenamente>> "Do we ever get away from our childhoods", essa frase é emblemática desse álbum, Get Lucky.

Eu e Ricardo percebemos que o interessante é que esse sentimento com relação a infância já tava renascendo no ktgc, obviamente vemos alguns lapejos disso no Shangri-lá e The Ragpicker's Dream, com mais clareza que em outros álbuns anteriores, contudo, eu aposto no resgate de algumas canções para essa nova tour.

Baseando nesse fatos, eu pensei nas seguintes canções, seguindo a lógica do contexto:

Southbound Again
Single-Handed Sailor
Communiqué... do tempo que ele era crítico, ele ainda era adolecente, não era ainda aduto...
A Night In Summer Long Ago
Fare Thee Well Northumberland...

Eu vou apostando com fé no resgate dessas duas (ou pelo menos uma delas)>> Tunnel Of Love e 5.15 a.m. essas são as mais fortes nesse ponto da infância dele!


Lembremos que ele resgatou Cannibals... na tour de 2008, que fala de coisas de crianças.

Vocês percebem essa relação nostálgia em suas canções e o novo álbum?

Já não é tão provável que ele não venha tocar certas canções que foram compostas pelo prisma da infância dele.

O contexto do novo álbum, ele soltando frases como► "Do we ever get away from our childhoods" ► “Some of the things we’re attracted to when we’re very small stay with us all our lives.”

Existe uma relação e indo por essa lógica eu não aposto, mas deduzo que ele venha resgatar certas canções e se ele tiver curtindo mesmo essa nostágia, Tunnel Of Love torna-se uma forte canditada a entra para o set de alguma maneira, provavelmente no lugar de Telegraph Road!

Sem dúvidas isso vai refletir no set list da turnê!

Deixo registrado aqui meu palpite, posso está completamente enganado, mas se eu acertar, irie me encontrar muito feliz não apenas por ter acertado, mas por contemplar uma mudança positiva, a chance de ver canções que a muito tempo anadam esquecidas por MK.

Que venham as músicas e vossas opiniões! =)

I was talking on msn with my friend Ricardo, (big fan, like me) talking about the tour in 2010 and I was saying that the set of the tour would be my main focus. However, this was the starting point for the following detail:

The rescue of certain songs!

Watch that Mark always operates with its beautifully musical roots, folk and blues, country, and original compositions, but the Get Lucky is all custom ingredients containing British and observational lyricism, all seen through the prism of his childhood, I think This fantastic ... This brings me to something of the context of the first album of the DS ... things like Down To The Waterline and Southbound Again.

I realized that the last tour he stream songs that speak of times past, as Cannibals, Do not Daddy's Gone to Knoxville and it was exactly during the 2008 tour he wrote most of the Get Lucky, so I think he will redeem something very interesting.

Even in promotional photographs is a lovely nostalgia, I found these amazing photos of him watching a strato red through the window, something he always mentions in interviews =)

Go on record here my guess, I is completely wrong, but if I hit, irie find me very happy not only hitting, but include a positive change, a chance to see the songs long forgotten by Alix MK.
